I have long since needed a replacement battery for my laptop computer. When I priced them through HP a year ago, this type of battery was around $125 and simply out of the question. I was pleasantly surprised to see batteries available for a fraction of that through Amazon. The next decision was whether to purchase a 12-cell battery, which doesn't fit flush with the bottom of the computer, or the standard battery which does, but has shorter life. The 12-cell battery won; and I'm glad I chose it.



The battery extends about an inch out of the bottom of the laptop, raising the back end by that much and tilting the unit forward slightly. I can simply re-angle the laptop screen to compensate. I normally set the unit on a lap trap when it's away from the desk; but I have tried using it simply resting on my lap and I don't find the extra lump too annoying. The best part -- the charged battery lasts about 3 hours!



I was very pleased with this purchase -- both price and performance.
