This cord did not fit my HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop at all. I wasted my money. It doesn't charge my battery unless I push the cord in and hold it there with my hand...otherwise there is no power that comes from it.

The cord over heated and melted the yellow part with only 3 days of use! I have since gotten a different cord, from a different maker, and have had no problems. I would not purchase this cord again.
