This HP power cord arrived sooner than expected and was well packaged. It works exactly as it is supposed to work. Unfortunately this is my 4th power cord; the previous ones were chewed by my puppy. Of course this is not a fault of the manufacturing of the cord! Now my puppy does not chew on cords since she's been through puppy school, and with proper care this cord should outlast my computer. i was very skeptical about buying a aftermarket computer product, but i wasn't about to pay hp price for a replacement power cord. so far, this cord works great. doesn't get hot and charges the dv9000 just fine. this laptop was inheirted in an estate and we had no idea when it was last charged as we never found the oem cord. im glad i took a chance on this charger. for $28.00 & free shipping, i don't mind buying another if this one fails!
